STAYING A WHILE?
We’re so glad you’ve chosen to spend your vacation in this beautiful place with us! We hope you will take all the time you wish to explore on your own, to relax with a book, to enjoy family time, and/or to bask in the beauty of the warm waters of the Clarion River and the invigorating chill of Clear Creek. We also very much hope that folks will interact in small groups with other guests; perhaps make lunch with folks from the next-door cabin one day, invite us to join you for dinner or for a walk one day, and trek up to the swim beach with some old or new friends another day. We will also provide a schedule of optional events that will be happening throughout the week, including ranger talks, hikes, song sessions, s’mores and stories time, and so on. You are welcome to participate in as many or as few of these as you wish.

Fun Things to Do in and Near the Park
You may want to do some online research as you’re planning your vacation, to find out about the local restaurants and attractions. Clear Creek State Park is near Cook Forest State Park, the Allegheny National Forest, the charming historic town of Brookville, the university town of Clarion, the Sawmill Arts Center and Theater (which will be doing a production of Peter Pan Friday and Saturday nights), the Moonlite Drive-In Theater, several canoe and tubing rentals, and lots more. We’ll provide campers with more information about things to do both in the park and beyond once you arrive, but if you’re the type who likes to plan ahead, this list should help you search.
